The best Guest Services Representatives will have strong people skills and be able to always act professionally and friendly when dealing with guests and accommodating their needs. To be successful in the role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience would be considered an asset. Assistant Camp Cook
Reports to: Camp Cook Employment Dates: June 15 – September 5 (Possibility to extend) Employment Status: Seasonal Full Time Wage: $19.00/hour Job Summary The Assistant Camp Cook is responsible for assisting the Camp Cook with the overall food service operation at the dining hall at Wesley Acres, including menu planning, purchasing, preparation, nutrition, safety, service, sanitization, and record keeping. The Assistant Camp Cook will primarily serve the campers and staff of Harbour Ridge Camp, the Summer At The Acres special guests, and Wesley Acres seasonal staff. Specific Accountabilities • Assist the Camp Cook with the following: • Provide a menu that is diverse and nutritious • Ensure quality service • Manage inventory to maximize investment • Manage food services staff when they are scheduled to work in the dining hall. • Prepare and serve meals • Clean dishes, pots, and pans • Clean the kitchen Essential Job Functions: Assist the Camp Cook with the following: • Manage the daily operations of the Wesley Acres dining hall • Oversee, with the Food Services Manager, the planning and preparation of menu items for Harbour Ridge Camp and Summer At the Acres guests • Meet food service requirements for Wesley Acres special events • Ensure safe and efficient preparation and serving of meals for Wesley Acres Special guests. • Oversee, with the Food Services Manager, the inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance, sanitization, and upkeep of the camp kitchens, equipment, and facilities while keeping safety regulations in mind. • Promote practices that seek to reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle/compost as much as possible. • Monitor employee performance and training to food service standards. • Assist with other food services requirements as needed. Reports to: Food Services Manager Employment Dates: June 15 – September 5 (Possibility to extend) Employment Status: Seasonal Full Time Wage: $20.00/hour Job Summary The Assistant Food Services Manager assists the Food Services Manager with the overall food service operation at Wesley Acres, including: Menu planning, purchasing, preparation, nutrition, safety, service, sanitization, record keeping. This not-for-profit organization serves meals to our campground residents and guests from May long weekend until Thanksgiving. There is a lighter demand outside the months of July and August. The food services department is an integral part of the overall Wesley Acres and campground community. Specific Accountabilities Assist the Food Services Manager with the following: • Provide a menu that is diverse and nutritious • Ensure quality service • Manage inventory to maximize investment • Assist with setting pricing and manage expenses • Manage Smitty’s Place • Manage Wesley Acres Tuck Shop • Manage food services staff Essential Job Functions: Assist the Food Services Manager with the following: • Manage the daily operations of the Wesley Acres food and dining service, including coordinating activities between the kitchen and the operation of camp • Oversee the planning and preparation of menu items at Smitty’s Place • Manage food service requirements for Wesley Acres special events • Ensure safe and efficient preparation and serving of meals for Wesley Acres Special guests. • Oversee the inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep of the camp kitchens, equipment, and facilities while keeping safety regulations in mind. • Prepare and serve food at all food services locations • Clean kitchens, pots, pans, etc. • Promote practices that seek to reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle/compost as much as possible. • Partner with vendors to receive optimum values including rebates. • Partner with local farmers and vendors to provide the freshest, best-tasting, and most nutritional food available. • Monitor employee performance and training to food service standards. • Work in cooperation with the Harbour Ridge Camp head cook. Assistant Manager
Reports to: Housekeeping Manager Employment Dates: May 1 – September 30 Employment Status Seasonal Full Time Wage: $18.95/hour Job Summary The Housekeeping Assistant Manager will assist the Housekeeping Manager in performing all housekeeping duties as well as providing leadership and supervision to the Housekeeping Team. In addition to all supervisory duties the Housekeeping Assistant Manager will ensure that all accommodations and indoor facilities remain clean and ready for use. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, cleaning washrooms, cleaning Porta-Potties and showers, and doing laundry on a daily basis. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness. Groundskeeper
Reports to: Manager of Facilities and Grounds Employment Dates: June 26 – September 5 Employment Status: Seasonal Full Time Wage: $17.95/hour Job Summary The seasonal groundskeeper is responsible for general grounds maintenance on the Wesley Acres property under the direction of the Manager of Facilities and Grounds. Primary duties will include mowing grass and weed eating. Occasionally there may be opportunity to assist with painting, minor repairs and other such tasks. To be successful in the role, you will need to take instruction well and work independently after receiving instruction. You will also ensure that all Wesley Acres policies are adhered to.
